“Dad?” Nathan brought Tails back.
Tails shook his head slightly, snapping himself out of the daydream. Lately it had become a habit that he would space in the middle of something. Tails looked at the inquisitive young fox, and took the popcorn from him. “Nathan, it’s one in the morning. What on earth are you doing with popcorn and not gibing me any?” Nathan looked puzzled for a moment. Tails opened the bag and took a large handful. Then Nathan seemed to understand what he was doing and frantically jumped up, trying to take the popcorn from his father’s grasp. “Hey, gimme, that’s my popcorn, I made it!” “Well it’s mine now,” Tails continued to joke. “You can’t take my popcorn!” “I can do whatever I want.” Then Tails realized that Nathan was starting to get a little hyper, and set the bag down on the counter top. Nathan scurried for it, but Tails grabbed him and held him fast. “Hey, lemme go!” he shouted. “Shh, everyone is asleep,” Tails shushed him, holding the squirming fox captive effortlessly in his arms. Nathan put his hands over his mouth and glanced around nervously. “Is mom awake too?” he asked. “No, she’s asleep,” Tails said in a much calmer tone. Nathan had given up trying to escape his captor, and gazed longingly at the popcorn. Tails smiled. “What are you doing up, Nate?” he asked. Nathan sighed childishly, his brown bangs springing up and falling in front of his face. He pushed his hair out of his eyes and rested his elbows on his father’s arm. “I can’t sleep,” he muttered, pouting. ~ Ehe, a little something I wrote. I was... bored. |D This is older Tails and his future son Nathan. And... I just got this idea from the story and I had to draw it. It's nice submitting a traditional piece after so many oekakis. But I must say, right now first and foremost. I BUTCHERED IT WITH THE COLORING. You have NO idea how much I HATE it. I messed up SO horribly blending the orange and the yellow. That's the LAST time I color something at two in the morning.  Anyway...  made the background transparent, so thanks to her.
